Ulcijn, Montenegro…

Posted by TMemory Category: Writing

ahhhh….What do you say about this place. We were fortunate to have 3 full days in this paradise.

I turned 36 on June 30th, and I released PRIDE!!!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT IS MY REALITY?! From one of the most beautiful places on Earth..pretty unreal.

Sunshine, wild dogs, savannah like conditions and greenery, brisk run, 2 beach days, lots of vodka and beer, a beautiful show at sunset closing out the festival on the sand. We watched the moon occupy the sky at the same time as the sun at its brightest, and as the sun set behind the mountains shades of red, orange, pink and yellow found themselves smothering the sky. It was hard to focus, and sing, and appreciate it all at the same time.  The distraction was severe.

We wore all white for the first time…it was a perfect atmosphere to be like little purified creatures doing our best to feed the beach that good soul vibe.

I could move to Montenegro for a good part of every year. The people were laid back, relaxed, hospitable. The way they live life is to be envied. Hard working and harder playing is the philosophy. Time is truly a secondary notion. I belonged there on that beach, sharing my gift, and bonding with the ocean, under to moon, clearing my mind, breathing in new ocean mists of the Adriatic sea, and finding myself again, just like I seem to in nearly every city we travel to with this show…in the UK now after a VERY long day of travel…BBC1 and the Stables on Friday!

I couldn’t be happier.

  1. I was going through my normal routine of listening to Tuesday new releases, which is something I have done for over 30 years. More often than not, I am extremely disappointed and uninspired by what I am hearing. That changed when I ran across your album.

All I can say is thanks for giving me something to listen to. There is only so much old school music I can listen to. I need inspiration and new feelings generated from new music. I thank you for that.

You and Jarrod did an awesome job.

I wish you all the success you desire. May God Continue to Bless and Keep You.

    Sincere Regards,

P.S. – I absolutely love the texture of your voice.

    1. So sweet of you!! This means so much to me! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and I apologize for my late response!! Blessings, Tahirah
